The Book Industry Guild of New York (BIGNY) event encourages, recognizes, and celebrates excellence in print and electronic book production and design. The 30th Annual Book Show awards include the following categories:

  • Books
  • Book Series
  • Covers
  • Covers/Self-Published Books
  • Cover Series
  • Magazines and Journals

As part of an ongoing commitment to enhance literacy, BIGNY will donate all books in the book show to organizations dedicated to promoting literacy.

Ticket prices are $100. Ticket prices include event admission, a buffet dinner and open bar. The event space will feature a display of the show’s award winners.

The Book Industry Guild of New York (BIGNY)’s will host their annual Barge Bash celebration on June 8, 2016.This year will mark the 35th year of this event.The annual event offers a relaxing opportunity for professionals from book publishing and related industries to connect and enjoy an evening cruising along the Hudson River. The sailing includes live music from The Faustones, buffet dining, and an open bar for beer, wine, and soda.

Both embarkation and disembarkation will take place at World Yacht, West 41st Street and the Hudson River. Boarding begins at 6:00 pm, with departure from the dock scheduled for 7:30 pm. Participants who do not wish to remain onboard for the sailing must leave the vessel prior to

Book Industry Guild of New York Presents “Content Management”

The Book Industry Guild of New York is a book publishing, manufacturing, and sales trade organization that hosts educational and networking events for people new to publishing. The Guild keeps professionals knowledgeable about the current publishing trends through charitable events, seminars, and literacy meetings.

The Book Industry Guild of New York has extended an invitation to all Pace M.S. in Publishing students to attend their “Content Management” event. Industry experts will lead a discussion on the importance of content management, from XML Workflow to EPUB 3 and other file conversions.

Join your future publishing professionals on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, 5:30 p.m. at Random House, 1745 Broadway, between 55th and 56th Streets, 2nd floor. Students will have free event admission and must register themselves beforehand at programs@bigny.org or inancial.secretary@bigny.org. (Please do not utilize the food/drink area before the speakers begin the session.)
