On March 3rd, the WNBA is going to be holding their Query Roulette event, and they’re looking for volunteers to help with the following activities:
Helping with set-up
Checking in participants
Appointment “timekeeping” (letting participants know how much time they’ve left before switching to their next 10-minute appointment)

The Query Roulette is going to be a great night–nearly 30 writers have registered to seek one-on-one advice from 10 literary agents. We’re looking for a few member volunteers before and during the event. Would you like to help? This fundraiser is an ideal way to meet other members and get involved with the association.
This event will take place at the Association of American Publishers office (71 Fifth Ave @ 15th St.) from 6:30-8:45pm. Volunteers are needed between 5:45pm and 8:30pm. If you are interested for some or all of the time needed, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org (Subject: QR Volunteer Help). Let me know what time you’d be available.

All of us at Pace University have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. After over a week without class, postponed midterms and meetings have made life unusual for all of us. Now that power has been restored to lower Manhattan and subway service has resumed through most of the five boroughs, it feels like the dust has settled and things can return to normal. However, many people cannot return to normal just yet. Unprecedented damage along the Northeastern Coast must get repaired, and many people are still displaced from their homes as a result of the hurricane. We encourage all of our students to take stock of the damage and donate their time or money to help repair the Northeast. Check out how the Red Cross has been assisting victims, and see how you can get involved! No time? You can donate 10 dollars via text message. Simply text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make your donation.
