Production Editor – Garland Science -GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Garland Science/Taylor & Francis Group is seeking a talented and experienced Production Editor to join our team. The Production Editor will receive final text manuscript, figures, and a print book design developed by the authors and the editorial team and manage the development of this source material into a published print book and multiple eBook formats.  This role requires both the ability to do the work “hands on” using the software tools and the ability to manage vendors through the production process.  Our books are rich in 4-color vector graphics, and a technical facility with programs such as Adobe Illustrator and InDesign is a must; an understanding of eBook formats is also required.  A strong interest in the life sciences is preferred.

Editor, Sociology – Routledge Editorial -GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Routledge, one of the preeminent publishers of books and journals in the Humanities and Social Sciences, has an exciting opportunity for a new acquisitions editor in sociology and related social sciences disciplines / subject matters.  The successful candidate will have, either previous acquisitions editing experience, preferably in sociology or other social sciences, or sales experience in the college publishing industry in the United States.  Working with a team of experienced editorial and sales/marketing professionals, the position’s fundamental goal is to grow sales and profitability very considerably in the undergraduate and graduate college course markets.

Permissions Coordinator – Sales -GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Rights and permissions administrative support position.  Coordinator of daily permissions activity with primary objective of optimization of fees, automated handling of requests and maintenance of standards.  Would be chiefly responsible for BP database administration, title & contract research and routing, and customer response.
