It publishes monographs, journals, textbooks, and professional work in a variety of subjects like Political Science, Economics, History, Literature, Linguistics, and Business. Its “mission is to publish high-quality original, peer-reviewed scholarly content for the humanities academic community.”

Palgrave Macmillan is looking for an Editorial Assistant to work with the Scholarly and Professional Business and Professional Finance programs. The candidate should be commercially-aware, target-driven, energetic, and passionate about scholarly and professional publishing. They will provide editorial support to the Business and Finance Editors, build professional relationships, and manage day-to-day administrative tasks.


  • Manage editorial processes and the peer review process for new proposals
  • Follow up with authors for revisions and final manuscripts
  • Prepare final manuscripts for handover to production
  • Check any required rights, forms and permissions for third party content
  • Write and edit cover copy and blurbs
  • Collaborate with authors and colleagues in sales, marketing, production, and editorial


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; preferably with an academic focus in publishing
  • Have excellent communication and team-working skills
  • Experience in academic and scholarly publishing preferred
  • Extremely organized and able to prioritize a high volume of tasks
  • Experience working in an office environment
  • Be resourceful and proactive in dealing with problems and queries
  • Be able to demonstrate good publishing business awareness and the ability to learn quickly
  • Be able to work on their own initiative, as well as part of a team
  • Be numerate and computer-literate, with a sharp eye for detail
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office

Bleu Magazine is looking for an Editorial & Journalism Intern to assist with editorial projects and provide support to the Communications Editor.


  • Proofread and copy edit both hard and electronic files
  • Write proposals and reports
  • Assist with proofing ads, flyers, brochures, invitations, etc.
  • Work on special projects, as needed


  • Working towards a degree in journalism, public relations, English, business communications, or communication arts
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience or interest in Web maintenance
  • Familiarity with Adobe In Design and Adobe Acrobat is a plus

BookBub | Account Coordinator

BookBub is in the process of launching “new consumer-facing book discovery features, marketing tools for authors and publishers, and other web and mobile products that address the digital transformation of the publishing industry.”

BookBub is looking for an Account Coordinator to provide support to the sales and account management team. The ideal candidate will help account managers drive business and coordinate campaigns for big publishing partners.


  • Assist BookBub’s account managers in submitting, scheduling, and coordinating publishing partners’ promotions with BookBub
  • Collaborate with BookBub’s editorial, production, and product teams to ensure publisher campaigns run smoothly and successfully
  • Help account managers prepare reports, presentations, and pitches for client calls and meetings by conducting analysis, research, and other prep work as needed
  • Support the account managers at industry conferences and in client meetings or phone calls
  • Communicate directly with publishing partners via email to coordinate campaign logistics, answer questions, and provide support to the account managers
  • Learn BookBub’s suite of marketing products thoroughly and understand how they can help our partners sell books
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of the publishing marketplace and internalize our partners’ needs and goals
