April 6 & 7
Sponsored by the Society of Illustrators, the MoCCa Arts Fest is a convention of underground and indie comic artists and publishers. Our own Professor Levitz will be moderating a panel celebrating the role of counterculture comic artists in NYC (2:30 pm on Saturday.) Tickets are $12.00 for a single day if you purchase online before going. The event is held at the 69th Regiment Armory (68 Lexington Ave., Manhattan.) Many Pace faces will be in attendance! This two day event goes on all day.
Checkout Franklin Park Bar (618 St. John’s Place, Brooklyn) for a monthly reading series. Guest hosts rotate- you never know who you might find. This bar has a great outdoor seating area (complete with space heaters!) This event is free and starts at 8 pm.
